**Children of Terra: Echoes of Sol** Earth is dying. The sun is failing, the wars have finally stopped only because there is nothing left to fight over, and what remains of humanity has one choice: leave, or die with the world that made them. So they leave. Across four volumes and millions of years, *Children of Terra* follows humanity's journey from a broken species fleeing its own grave to the dominant power in a galaxy it never asked to inherit — and the people, human and otherwise, who are swept up in that rise. **Volume I** rides the last generation ships out of the Solar System and into first contact — a peaceful, herbivorous species called the Sylari, who read humanity's arrival exactly the way prey reads a predator. War breaks out before either side means it to. What follows is not conquest, but something rarer: a fragile, hard-won peace, built by soldiers, diplomats, and scientists who understand that the fate of an entire civilization now rests on getting this first encounter right. **Volume II** leaps forward millions of years, to a galaxy-spanning Terran Dominion where humanity owns planets, keeps history in archives nobody reads, and has all but forgotten where it came from. Kaelen Virex — a lazy, brilliant heir to a planetary fortune — stumbles onto the names of his own ancestors while skipping class, and sends a purchased Luminarian servant, Vyera, across the galaxy to find humanity's original home. What she brings back is a scorched, forgotten rock called Earth — and a signal that shouldn't exist. Something there has just woken up. **Volume III** rewinds to the era between war and empire — the age when Elyra's fragile peace draws the attention of six alien civilizations who decide, together, that humanity has become too dangerous to let live. What follows is a war for survival on a scale no one is prepared for, carried by soldiers, commanders, and one engineered weapon in human shape — Augustine Lane, a boy built to end wars, who has never once been allowed to simply be a person. **Volume IV** returns to the present — to Kaelen, to Vyera, to a Dominion built on the sacrifices of people whose names are now just entries in a dusty archive — as the past Kaelen went looking for begins, quietly and irreversibly, to catch up with him. At its core, *Children of Terra: Echoes of Sol* is a story about what a species carries with it once it leaves home behind — its guilt, its violence, its capacity for grace — and whether, given a second chance among the stars, humanity can ever truly become something better than what destroyed the first world it ever knew.
