Kaira has spent fifteen years believing he is nothing more than the cursed, hunchbacked outcast of a forgotten mountain village. He is wrong. Beneath the cloth wrapped around his back, something has been growing since childhood. Behind his quiet eyes lies a power he does not understand—and when shamans, ancient spirits, and beings worshipped as gods begin to recognize something in him that even Kaira cannot remember, his small world starts to collapse. Dragged beyond the only village he has ever known, Kaira enters a world of warring tribes, dark shamanic orders, forgotten paths of cultivation, and realms whose laws are stranger than magic itself. He does not know why monsters hesitate before his gaze. He does not know why an ancient woman calls him by another man's name. And he certainly does not know why the gods of the underworld may one day want him dead. Kaira only knows one thing: He wants to understand what he is. But the farther he walks, the more dangerous the answer becomes. A dark progression fantasy inspired by Turkic and Eurasian mythology, shamanic traditions, Daoist philosophy, reincarnation, cosmic horror, and a world where strength means far more than raw power.
