And nobody mentioned that accepting the position meant waking up on another world. Welcome to Concordia. At first glance, Concordia is a world of steam, gears, airships, and machinery. But Jules knows machines. He spent his life working with his hands, fixing things, and figuring out how they work—and something about Concordia doesn't add up. The technology is too advanced. The people don't always act like people. And an artificial intelligence named Devereaux insists that Jules is here to play a game, complete with quests, stats, levels, and abilities. Now stranded in the industrial city of Bracken, Jules will have to put his skills to work, navigate powerful guilds, earn strange abilities through injectable Stims, and uncover the rules of a world that seems determined to hide what it really is. Fortunately, Jules has always been pretty good at fixing things. Unfortunately, Concordia might be broken.
