"To change the world, one must first walk through its darkest shadows." Before he became the World's Worst Criminal... he was just a son with a dream. Monkey D. Dragon believed in absolute justice. Defying the dire warnings of his father, the legendary Marine Hero Garp, a young and passionate Dragon enlists in the Marines, determined to protect the weak and reform a broken system from the inside. But he soon discovers that the white coat of the Marines was designed for one purpose: to hide the blood of the innocent. As Dragon rises through the ranks of Marineford, his illusions of a righteous world shatter piece by piece. Forced to witness the unspoken atrocities of the Celestial Dragons and the horrifying true face of the World Government, Dragon must make a choice: bow to a corrupted god, or become the storm that will tear the heavens apart. This is not a tale of a hero saving the world. This is the untold tragedy. The story of how a passionate Marine died, and the Supreme Commander of the Revolutionary Army was born.
