A ship held together by spite, spare parts, and the people who won't leave her.The Wayfarer is eighty years old, patched together with mismatched hull plating and a whistle in the engine nobody's bothered to fix. Captain Ethan Ward and his crew take the cargo runs no one else wants — through pirate-haunted shipping lanes, bureaucratic nightmares, and the kind of trouble that finds you at the worst possible moment. What they don't expect is how many strangers end up feeling like family by the time the job's done. Warm, funny, and quietly strange, because to the rest of the galaxy, humans are the weirdest thing in it.
