What would humanity do if the impossible happened—not once, but ten times? Eric Wilson is an ordinary man when ten extraordinary blessings begin to change the world. Language barriers fall. Minds and bodies are restored. Disasters can be foreseen. Land and water recover. With each new blessing, humanity receives more than evidence of extraordinary power. It is given a glimpse of what human life could be. Eric and ninety-five others are given an unexpected responsibility: to tell the world what they have been shown, while asking for no money, no political power, and no obedience to themselves. But miracles cannot make anyone choose. The more humanity receives, the harder the questions become. Who is the One behind these gifts? What do they reveal about the kind of life he wants for humanity? What responsibility, if any, comes with receiving so much? And when knowing what is true begins to carry a cost, what will people choose? The central question is not simply whether the impossible can happen. It is what people will do once they know. Volume I — The Ten Blessings Ten extraordinary gifts begin transforming human life and the world itself. As Eric and the Ninety-Six announce each blessing, the question gradually changes. What first appears to be a story about impossible events becomes a deeper question about the One behind them—and what the gifts reveal about how he wants human beings to live. Volume II — The Ten Plagues The story turns back thousands of years, to ancient Egypt. Long before the Ten Blessings, another generation faced ten extraordinary acts of divine power—but this time they came as judgment. Among those living through the plagues is Nefer, an ordinary Egyptian official who must decide whether a warning deserves to be taken seriously before its truth can no longer be ignored. The Ten Plagues tells the other side of the pattern: not only what happens when God acts, but what can depend on the choices people make after they have been warned. Volume III — The Narrow Gate The story returns to a world transformed by the Ten Blessings. The miracles have been seen. Their effects can be examined. For much of humanity, whether something extraordinary happened is no longer the central question. Now the question is what to do with what they know. Individuals, families, institutions, religions, and governments must decide how far they are willing to let the truth change the way they live. What does it mean to acknowledge God without obeying him?Can obedience still be a free choice? What kind of God would be worthy of absolute trust? And when following what is true begins to cost something, who will people choose to follow? A World Asked to Choose is a character-driven speculative series about miracles, warning, faith, freedom, authority, and the choices people make when belief can no longer remain merely theoretical.
