A Measure of Magic [Character-Driven Adventure Fantasy]

A hostile kingdom. A powerful curse. Enemies lurking in the dark. Can two friends defeat them in time to save the ones they cherish? From murders to magical beast attacks, nothing has been going right in Bryolan. As the kingdom’s most powerful mage and a newly named baroness, Elliana wants to get to the bottom of it. So does her friend, Paige, a commoner with little magic who insists on being a healer anyway. When Paige stumbles upon an unnatural disease, Elliana discovers they’re dealing with a curse. In a matter of days, the disease spreads throughout Bryolan, even infecting the king. At the crown prince’s request, Elliana and Paige join a delegation to a neighboring kingdom he believes to be the source of their woes. But the enemies they uncover there are far more formidable than they could have imagined. Even Elliana’s power, Paige’s courage, and help from unlikely allies might not be enough to stop them from bringing Bryolan to its knees. What to Expect: - Family (Both found and blood-related) - Intrigue and danger - High stakes...eventually - Magic -2 female protagonists (1 strong, 1 weak) -Multiple POV - M/F romance subplot -Slice-of-life elements
