Max has sixty seconds to reach his missing father's computer—or be deleted. When the sky breaks over Senate State University, the Paramount System gives every student a terrible choice: reach an object that matters to them before the countdown ends. Max runs for the Windows 95 computer he grew up programming. His best friend, Danna, reaches for her grandfather's katana. Now he can read reality as living code. She carries an energy blade. Their campus has become a sealed arena, and surviving it means forming a team, mastering their inherited powers, and facing opponents who are learning just as fast. Max and Danna have spent years hiding what they mean to each other. The System makes that connection measurable—and dangerous. It rewards their trust, exposes their weaknesses, and gives their enemies something worth breaking. To survive together, they'll have to decide how much of themselves they're willing to put into a partnership the System is watching. What to expect: System-invasion progression, code-based abilities, tactical teamwork, multiple viewpoints, and a central friends-to-lovers romance. Release schedule: New chapters daily at 4 p.m. Pacific / 7 p.m. Eastern, September 6–October 1, 2026. Expanded Book One: 30 chapters plus an epilogue.
