My name is Thelion Tryon Grytiol. Adventurer, holy knight, hero. I have saved lives, battled monsters, and slain dragons! I was renowned the world over. The people looked to me, and their children wanted to be me. At least this was how it used to be... As all good heroes go, so did I. Slain in battle against the mightiest dragon I have ever hunted. Unfortunately, death was not the end. Now I find myself something else. Ugly grey scales, four unwieldy legs, and leathery wings that I have no idea what to do with. What's more, the very dragon that killed me... the very thing that put me in this position in the first place... believes it's my mother. And the scary thing is, in some twisted fashion, I believe that too. But that can't be right. I am still the hero. I am still the same person. It doesn't matter how much gold calls to me, or the air sings to me. Underneath these scales, I am still the same person. I have to be... right? --------------------------------- If you like monster reincarnation stories, with a slap-dash of emotional stakes, progression fantasy, and a bit of dnd inspiration, then please read the first book of The Dragonslayer Dragon BK1: The Heart of Names.
