The Chronicles of Amanarah Amanarah has always known how to fight. Raised among warriors and shaped by a world where humans and the mysterious Salinlahi share an uneasy existence, she has learned that survival often depends on the strength of one's hands and the sharpness of one's blade. Miguel is different. A quiet farmer and gifted albularyo, he has spent his life cultivating the land and learning the secrets of medicinal herbs. He is more comfortable healing wounds than causing them, and more at home among plants than on a battlefield. Their paths cross when a growing conflict along the southern borders forces them into the same journey. As refugees flee settlements threatened by the Aswangs, Amanarah joins the rescue efforts, while Miguel tends to the wounded with remedies few others understand. Traveling together across the vast kingdoms of Kanlaon, they encounter ancient cities, remote settlements, warriors, healers, and creatures once known only in the myths of another world. And somewhere along the road, something begins to change. Amanarah begins to discover that courage does not always come from wielding a weapon. Miguel begins to question whether the qualities that make a great warrior are really the qualities that make someone worthy of love. Between battles, rescues, quiet conversations, and journeys across a world hidden behind ancient legends, two people from very different paths slowly begin to see each other in a way neither expected. But Kanlaon is a world where old conflicts never truly disappear. And sometimes, the heart can lead you toward the very fate you were never prepared to face. The Chronicles of Amanarah — Book II of the Kanlaon Chronicles. A story of courage, discovery, healing, and a love that begins quietly in the shadow of war.
