The humans of the world have de-evolved to near animalistic behavior. A scientist discovers that there is a force within every person that originated during the Big Bang and has been passed down from birth to death, with each passing the force loses a little viscosity. This why society is so cruel, so ignorant, so easy to turn to cannibalism. The scientist devises a solution to restore the star dust that makes a humans soul and he set it into play. Meanwhile the public, in learning of the star dust in every one of them, scheme evil ways to get the dust for themselves. The scientist warns people but they don't listen. He leaves them to it and works to protect the outcome of his experiment. New children are born after the star dust replenishment and their souls are fully restored. People are doing everything they can to exploit the new, restored children. As the children age, they start to display mental powers. By the age ten, they are powerful beings, able to defend themselves and they go from being exploited to controlling the unrestored, the humans with the old soul. It's a new day, Humanity is saved!

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 5–9 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views lifetime.
