The Mirror and the Lantern – The Beginning

Every reader dreams of becoming a protagonist in the stories they love—flying with Peter Pan or meeting Harry Potter and Hermione, and visiting fantastical places like Neverland, Hogwarts, or Narnia. Some even wish they could change the stories themselves: saving Atreyu’s loyal horse, Artax, or the brave Nemecsek from *The Paul Street Boys*. The more spirited among them might be tempted to punch Malfoy—because, deep down, he deserves it. Others simply cannot stand Little Red Riding Hood or Pinocchio and would love to play a nasty trick on them. Three kids—Leo, Zac, and Cloe—experience all these fascinating and bizarre events, thanks to a strange mirror and a magic lantern. It is a journey filled with adventure, mystery, trouble, and danger, leading up to a final plot twist. This is a story of growing up and friendship, hovering between dream, reality, and fantasy—a tale where the author and the protagonists sometimes swap roles.
