Kale von Wardantis remembers his death. He remembers his mother’s severed hand, his sister pinned to a wall, and the horrified faces surrounding him as his head struck the floor. What he cannot remember is the person who killed him. Returned to the past with powers that should not exist, Kale has eight years to prevent the massacre and uncover the truth buried inside his own soul. But the future is already changing—and somewhere in the shadows, his killer remembers more than he does. Some deaths end a life. Kale’s began a war.

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 2–4 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views lifetime.
