In the Moscow Empire, the state owns your right to think. The totalitarian regime constantly scans the minds of its citizens for any trace of critical thinking, and magic is the birthright weapon of the ruling elite and the secret service. I woke up in this totalitarian hell trapped inside a stranger's body. I remember absolutely nothing—neither this kid's past, nor a single detail of his life. Like a detective working a cold case, I’m forced to piece together information about myself from scratch, all while trying to master the volatile, dormant supernatural powers lurking inside me. Who the hell was I? A member of the high-society elite? A promising black-ops operative named Belsky? Or a rogue renegate who betrayed the entire system? Only one thing is crystal clear: the manhunt is already underway, and the only goddamn way to jam the state's thought-control scanners and keep a shred of my critical thinking alive is through heavy, punishing doses of alcohol. To remain myself, I am forced to destroy this body, burning away its innate magic with every single drink. But the worst is yet to come. I’m about to discover that my consciousness was already shattered and exiled to a distant, technogenic world once before—and now, I’ve been dragged back. Am I here to reconstruct the legacy of Belsky? Or to completely erase it from existence? The chances of surviving this venomous nest of conspiracies are zero-point-zero.
