Kadrin isn't like other dwarves. At sixteen years old, he already towers over most of his kin, possessing the strength of multiple adult Dwarves and a temperament that reflects the stone he was carved from. He wants to found his own Hold. The problem? Founding a Hold requires wealth, influence, allies, and enough strength to carve a kingdom from the wilderness. Kadrin is patient as he is Giant. Armed with a self forged Axe and Shield, and more determination than common sense, he leaves the safety of his Stronghold in search of fortune and adventure. The world beyond the Dominion is far larger and far deadlier than he imagined. Monsters lurk within forgotten ruins. Ancient grudges still shape the fate of kingdoms. Orc warbands roam the wilds, and every expedition risks becoming a grave. Yet for Kadrin, every challenge is another step toward his dream. If he must fight, he'll fight. If he must build, he'll build. And if the world refuses to give him a mountain to call his own... He'll take one. A Dwarven Progression Fantasy featuring adventuring, crafting, blacksmithing, kingdom-building, exploration, and one very large dwarf.
