In 2002 Nebraska, transient pipeline workers Sam Holes and Robert Jenkins hide a mysterious, satellite-sized capsule in a secluded motel shed. Ignoring Robert’s frantic warnings, the greedy Sam attempts to force it open for a payday, eventually using an acetylene torch to burn a small hole through its self-repairing hull.
