The war ended, but the world didn't. For years, the tyrannical sorceress known as the White Queen waged war across the kingdoms of Aurum. Now she is dead, but ruin remains. Charred towns lie hollow, fields return to the wild, and the gods themselves seem tired. Where humanity retreats, darkness creeps in. Through this shattered land the young wizard Martimeos follows the fading trail of his brother, who marched west to fight and never returned, leaving behind no grave, no message. Only rumors of what he'd done. But the wickedness of war lingers long after the bloodshed is done. Martimeos must barter with demons, trade riddles with fae, and contend with Elyse, a wild witch with secrets of her own. Together, they follow the old roads west, into lands growing emptier, stranger, and darker with every mile. And the farther Martimeos travels, the more he wonders what sort of man his brother really was. Update Schedule: MWF Currently on Rising Stars!
