Shard of Ascension

In a galaxy ruled by the Empire, Evenick Bolven makes a living taking dangerous jobs across the galaxy with his droid companion, Silex-3. But when a simple heist leads to the theft of a mysterious shard from an Imperial facility, Evenick finds himself wanted by the Empire for crimes far more serious than he ever imagined. With the Empire closing in, strange allies appearing, and secrets surrounding the shard beginning to surface, Evenick must survive a galaxy where Jedi, the Republic, criminals, and Imperial forces all have their own interests. What started as just another job may have turned Evenick into the target of something much bigger than himself. What to ExpectThis is a Star Wars inspired story with a slow, character-focused pace at certain points and a much faster pace when the story calls for it. Some chapters will take their time developing characters, exploring worlds, building tension, and setting up future events. Others will move much faster, especially when things start going wrong. Expect an unforgiving story where actions have consequences and characters aren't always guaranteed to make it out safely. The story will feature strong combat, blaster fights, chases, tense encounters, and larger battles as it progresses. The galaxy is also much bigger than our protagonist initially sees. The Empire, Republic, Jedi, criminals, mercenaries, and other factions will gradually become more involved as the story expands across different worlds. Expect: 1. Faster-paced action and major conflicts This isn't meant to fit neatly into one specific point in the Star Wars timeline. That leaves me with little creative freedom. It's a mixture of different eras, idea, and elements brought together into one galaxy, while still creating its own story, characters, conflicts, and identity.
