Sixteen years ago, Lyra was sent away from a dying world. She doesn't remember it. She doesn't even know it exists. On Earth, Lyra's life is ordinary. School. Her parents. Her dog, Oreo. The occasional walk to the park. Until the sky tears open. A monster from another world comes through. And it isn't hunting the warrior who followed it. It's hunting Lyra. When the impossible happens and Lyra awakens a power believed to have disappeared centuries ago, the truth finally begins to surface. She is an Elyrian. Earth is not her home. And without the Aether that flows through her birth world, she may not survive. Now Lyra must leave everything she's ever known behind and enter Aetherion Academy, where Elyrians, Noctari, and Wardens train together beneath centuries of secrets. But calamity-ranked Echoes, creatures believed to be extinct, are appearing again. The history of the Great War doesn't add up. And someone is determined to control the Aether itself. As Lyra and five other girls discover powers far stranger than the elements they were taught to expect, they uncover secrets that were never meant to be found. Because the greatest threat isn't coming from outside the academy. It has been growing within it. _________________ I am the original author of The Luminaries, and I am also publishing this novel on Inkitt under my author account.
