In the far future of humanity, in the 40th Millennium, there is only darkness and blood spilled across the stars. The hope of humanity is barely maintained by the kindled fire of suffering and futility, fueled by the prayers of billions and trillions of souls stacked one on top of the other—a mountain of sacrifice and despair. As for why anyone would have a reason to live, it is only so they can suffer less than what awaits them after death But an Outsider, an entity that wasn't meant to be, is now here. Will this Outsider change the world and inflict his will upon it? Or will the world reform him into an abhorrent person just like the rest, destined to suffer and bring suffering into this hellish realm? For in this place, not even gods escape war
