Alia and her cloned sisters were built to settle the galaxy. Instead, they conquered it.
Alia was one of the 133 clones in The Spear Initiative. Built to lead humanity to the stars and then step aside. Smarter, stronger, and faster than baseline humans, they were given nanotech upgrades which allowed them to ‘slice’ time, speeding their perception until everything around them moved in slow motion. A more powerful version meant for combat was given only to Alia before her sisters rebelled.
Instead of stepping aside, her ‘sisters’ rose up, destroyed the Spear Initiative, and took over the galaxy.
Not all the clones agreed. Alia - number 27 - fought back against her clone sisters, but her small resistance flared and died, forcing her into emergency hibernation to await a rescue that never came. Now, three millennia later, she woke to find her sisters ruling their Eternal Empire as the undying god-empress Eternity. The last of the original cohort, she must now deal with the thousands who have been made since her slumber began.
Alone against hundreds of her sisters, Alia will have to restart her rebellion three thousand years after it failed. Is there even anyone left in the Eternal Empire who wants to rebel? Just who is Alia fighting for?
