Tom Reyes, a 61-year-old master farmer, dies quietly in his sleep after the best harvest of his life. He wakes as Wren Alder, a fevered sixteen-year-old orphan on a failing farm in the world of Eshareth, where a System grants Classes, Skills, and Levels, and ancient Cultivation traditions run alongside it. Wren discovers his adoptive little brother, Finn, depends entirely on him, and resolves to keep his true origin secret while using sixty-one years of hard-won agricultural knowledge to save their land.
