The third stage is the highest anyone can go. Everyone knows that. Kiev has never been particularly interested in proving them wrong. A quiet forest cultivator with three affinities and an unusual way of seeing mana, he prefers understanding a problem to overpowering it. His staff keeps enemies at a distance. His magic makes sure they stay there. Cerl has a different philosophy. Put a sword in his hand and point him at the problem. Light and fire run through his blade, and he has never been very good at knowing when to stop moving forward. They have little in common. What begins as an inconvenient partnership soon draws them into something neither of them understands: strange changes in the land, questions the people around them would rather not answer, and a limit to cultivation that feels increasingly less like a natural boundary and more like something deliberately placed there. Everyone says its the peak. Kiev isn't so sure. Cerl wants to find out what's beyond it. And somewhere in the realm, something may already be waiting for them. What to expect; - A slow but steady rise to power. - Side characters that develop just as well as the MCs - Meaningful relations and intrigue - There is always someone stronger so no overpowered MCs
