This universe has a lock.It is called the LinBoo Astrolabe—a cosmic loom weaving mortal emotions into "Fate" to fuel the celestial empire.Under its iron law, there is no freedom—only calculated karma. Whom you love, whom you hate, when you die—all are notches carved into stellar tracks. Mortal emotions are merely fuel to keep the machine running.Ruling this astrolabe are twin Avatars: Astra, Avatar of Light, and Umbra, Avatar of Darkness.Astra believes in healing. Wielding a starlight spindle, she reconstructs stellar orbits to weave destinies back to perfection. Her radiance is warm—and lethal—for she permits no suffering, even when suffering proves a soul has lived.Umbra believes in excision. She sees through her sister's varnish to the slow slaughter beneath. A necrotic planet must be amputated like a gangrenous limb. She is not numb to the pain her blade inflicts; she chooses to play the villain to force gods and mortals to face the abyss.Beneath the Avatars stands a corrupt empire. Jupiter, King of the Gods, presides over Ten Planetary Deities. Below them, Twelve Zodiac warlords and Twelve House Directors devour each other. Beyond the barrier slumbers a darkness no god dares speak of.Every tier schemes against the next. Mortals are merely fuel at the bottom. One stitches wounds with light—until the mouth crying for help is sewn shut. One amputates disease with darkness—even when what is severed is something she cared about.Tens of billions are ground between these "mercies."No one questioned this. Until Umbra's Annihilation Strike fell upon Tartarus. Astra tried to save the planet with light, overloading the core; Umbra severed the stellar track, annihilating the world—including a boy's sister in his arms. From Tartarus's wreckage crawled a survivor: Elias. A scavenger with no divine spark. His soul frequency slipped past the erasure wavelength—an Anomaly. At first, he sought vengeance. But as he led the Mortal Vanguard with flesh and blood, shattering the myth that "gods cannot be killed," he uncovered the divine paradox: the fiercer mortal defiance grows, the more violent retaliation becomes. He did not kneel."If being alive means existing as a battery that feels no pain, such survival is merely the perpetuation of a corpse. Even if what lies beyond is the abyss, I will walk out on my own two feet."This mortal erupted with light that made gods tremble. He resolved to break the deadlock between Light and Dark—to carve a third path for a locked universe.Since stellar tracks decree destruction, he shall sever them with flesh and blood.Since gods obscure the sky, he shall rise against the light.Beyond the shadow cast by the gods, there remains a fringe of light the umbra cannot reach. That is the Antumbra—the luminous ring beyond the shadow's edge. That is the spark destined to set the prairie ablaze.
