Miss Mercury is a dark-academia psychological thriller. Mercury Cocoon is Autumnfield Academy’s “perfect girl”: beautiful, intelligent, popular, bright, and seemingly harmless. But since childhood, she has harbored an unusual fascination with violence, gore, and death. That darkness has never disappeared—she has simply learned how to hide it well. Then, one day after school, Mercury turns into an alley on her way home and finds a teenage boy standing beside a corpse. She should scream, run, call the police. Instead, she calmly asks, “Do you need help dealing with it?” From that moment on, Mercury’s life begins to slip off its carefully controlled path. Two Russian transfer students arrive at Autumnfield—one fascinates her, while the other becomes determined to expose the truth behind her perfect image. Meanwhile, the boy from the alley begins dragging the darkness Mercury has always confined to fantasy into the real world. Miss Mercury is planned as a trilogy, and this is the first novel in the series.
