Captain Abrach has always been told he is a monster. It is what the world needed from him and what he came to believe about himself. When his King’s adultery costs a loyal general his life, Abe spends two decades managing the fallout — through highland sieges, a court built on rot, and the slow discovery that the man who goes through the gate first might also be capable of building something worth protecting. A dark fantasy about what genuine goodness looks like in a world that does not reward it. *Release Schedule - New Chapter released every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6pm CST.

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 20–49 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
