The story begins 9,000 years ago in the realm of Hell, where the Demon King, Volt Lawin, is betrayed by his son Lucifer and the divine leader Hajun, leading to his erasure from existence though not before he swears a vengeful return. Millennia later, in the Realm of Energy, a couple named Byakuya and Haruka discover an infant dropped from a golden beam of light, completely unaware that the child is the reincarnation of Volt Lawin. Fifteen Years Later: Growing up, Volt struggles because he appears completely unable to use magic, facing constant ridicule, while an unfathomable and dark power lies dormant deep within his soul. Entering the Academy: Volt mysteriously teleports to the gates of the Argonian Academy, joining the elite squad Syllen's Shadows alongside notable students like Sai, Aki, Vanessa, and Maki.  During an attempt to probe Volt's inner soul, Maki triggers a catastrophic psychic backlash from the sealed, pitch-black entity inside him signaling to the academy's leaders and hidden dark forces that a terrifying power has just awakened.
