Aspen Fernfollow came to Willowmend for a temporary room and enough distance from the ex who spent years treating her knitting as something she would eventually outgrow.
She did not expect the village yarn shop to come with a magical Craft Registry or expect to get assigned a restricted dragon pattern.
And she really did not expect to ignore one very specific rule. Never bind off after midnight. Soon she finds herself waking up the tiny knitted guardian she was supposed to be making for the Spring Craft Fair.
Now Purl is alive, unauthorized, fond of stealing Oliver Lightstone’s belongings, and capable of producing coffee-scented smoke whenever he has an opinion.
Keeping him will require more than good knitting. Aspen must advance her crafting skills, learn responsive magic, complete Society tasks, unlock new abilities, and prove that Purl can become a guardian without becoming possessive.
Unfortunately, the person supervising nearly every step is Oliver, Willowmend’s no-nonsense Society registrar, a man who likes rules, organized project notes, and Aspen considerably more than either of them planned.
A cozy crafting LitRPG romance featuring magical knitting, visible skill and level progression, Society quests, class evolution, a tiny coffee-responsive dragon, village life, and a closed-door slow-burn romance. Expect cozy crafting progression, frequent System updates and skill unlocks, low-combat stakes, a magical creature companion, and a complete Book One story.
