Ordeal Genesis

For 36 years, the Veils have bled into our world.  Black rain. Beasts. Gods watching. Humanity was given a trial: Kill Kikai, one of them.  If one human succeeds, the gods leave. If they fail, humanity ends. Munkin Tachi was born in year 16 of the trial. Ash-Class. The weakest.  Hakuten Kairen was born the same day. Veteran-Class by 19. The strongest. They made one promise at age 10: Stronger. Together. But on the day they awaken, the gods make a mistake.  They give Tachi the power of Kikai himself. Now Tachi must walk a path of blood to reach the top.  While his best friend becomes the gods’ chosen weapon. One will save the world.  The other will end it. And the black rain is falling again.
