We, Monsters. Book Two: The Others

Theirin, Lord of the Upper Lands, is about to begin a witch hunt. Not the brightest idea, considering how powerful—and numerous—the witches are. The Others of the Forbidden Woods in the South are preparing for war.  The Dead Gods awaken from a centuries-long sleep—and, of course, they're already quarreling again. It seems only Niven can bring them together. Meanwhile, Niven has no idea any of this is happening. He boards a ship bound for the Lower Lands. Well, “ship” might be a generous word. It’s more like a rusty bucket. Shayenn, of course, tags along once again. And his sword starts singing. At least, that’s what it sounds like to Niven. No one else can hear it. Maybe his ears are just ringing after spending far too much time with his overly talkative companion. He hopes so. Because there are enough problems waiting in the Lower Lands already. Plus, at least one hunter is still on their trail. And the eldest prince of Daahr hasn’t given up. And one of the Dead Gods is muttering inside Niven’s head. So… What could possibly go wrong? *** A dark fantasy about redemption, fractured selves, unstable power, inner demons, dead gods, cruel rulers, and the unwanted burden of holding a broken world together.
