by KANDULA YOGESWAR SAI
Skanda is a ghost of the lower slums, surviving in the shadows of the Empire of Lineage—a dystopian megacity where obedience isn't written in law, but hardwired into human flesh through a bio-technological frequency known as "Command." Driven by a quiet desire to remain unseen, he keeps his head down while hiding a dangerous anomaly deep within his bone marrow: he is completely immune to the signal, harboring the dormant static of an ancient, volatile entity. He has no interest in playing the hero. He just wants to survive. But remaining invisible is a luxury he is about to lose. When a public execution ignites the dark static in his blood, Skanda is thrust into the path of Aria, a veiled rebel wielding a space-warping defense. Her protection carries a devastating toll—every spatial tear permanently erases a piece of her personal memories. Together, they stumble upon a sickening secret powering the Empire’s grid, pulling them into the crosshairs of Captain Kayros—a cold, polite Enforcer who manipulates his prey's choices to steer them into inescapable traps. Hunted across anti-signal zones, Skanda must master his saviour’s doctrine to survive: "Patterns die when you change purpose." In a world of muscle-hijacking frequencies and living cores, even an anomaly must evolve—or be forged into a biological tool for the very regime he seeks to escape.
