England, 1921. When Father Miguel Ângelo arrives at Winter Manor, he expects to find a possessed child. Instead, he finds a family terrified of its own secrets. Marina Winter speaks with a voice that is not her own, and there is little doubt that something supernatural has taken hold of her. Yet the entity possessing the girl behaves unlike any demon Miguel has encountered before, and what should have been a straightforward exorcism soon draws him into something far older and more dangerous. Then he hears the prophecy. *“On the sixth day of winter, six knocks shall be heard. When the sixth one sounds, immoral and carnal sins shall be avenged. Six bodies shall fall... and six souls shall be taken to receive their eternal punishment.”*
