Eight-year-old Sakura’s world ends in a single night. When her mountain village is massacred, her desperate attempt to protect her infant sister awakens a power believed to be impossible—Ice. Before she can escape, Sakura is taken by Virexis, the ruthless leader of a secret organization that sees her not as a frightened child, but as the perfect weapon to shape. Unknown to Sakura, her baby sister survives and is rescued by Astra, the only force capable of standing against Virexis. Raised on opposite sides of a war neither of them chose, two sisters will one day face each other—one forged by darkness, the other guided by hope. This is the beginning of their story. This is the night the world split.
