Main idea of the story: In a world where losing permanent mana points is the cost of learning skills and leveling them up. Arlene discovered he was a Holder with an awakened ability that gave him mana when he killed monsters. Not just any monster, but strong ones like rare, mutated, and boss dungeon monsters. Once he reached the number of kills needed in his Soul identity, he would receive a large amount of mana. This allowed him to learn more skills and level up the ones he already had. While others cultivate, use expensive items, and pay for stat crystals to increase their mana, Arlene only needs to kill monsters to have more. — Story note/warning for those who are reading for fights: The first 14 chapters focus on the worldbuilding and Arlene training his skills and abilities, and the first fight would start at chapter 15 --- What to know or see if you want to read this book: AI-assisted — I use AI to polish the grammar and spelling of the chapters (I'll admit this). And the AI cover page/picture. Slow progression: The first 20 chapters will have a word count of 1-1.2k words only, and after that I'll make sure to make it 1.4 and above from then on. Limited vocabulary: You will see how the book doesn't really use words/verbs/nouns other than simple ones. Update: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
