Callum is born into a stagnant state of society in the far future. He, and a woman are chosen to go on a religious pilgrimage back to the capital of their civilization. Many are chosen, yet none have returned. Callum has a grim outlook on life, and does not believe they will make it far. But then he meets the other person Chosen, Ananya, who doesn’t have time for basic greetings. She is on a personal mission to make it to the capital, and swears to Callum they will be the first to make it there and back. In a dystopian future world Callum and Ananya travel across different worlds, and different terrains, undergoing challenges together to test if they can, really make it. They also learn, the world they live in, may not be what it seems.
