You don't need to save the world to change someone's life - sometimes all it takes is a good meal. Cookie's a raccoon-girl who has spent most of her life in a box in the back alley. It isn't much, but  at least she knows what to expect. Surprises are mostly limited to someone at the inn giving her a sandwich or the butcher at the Adventurer's Guild throwing rocks at her for rooting around in his garbage. Again. But when she helps the Inn's scullery boy survive an attack from the Rogue's Guild, her life suddenly gets a lot more complicated. Now she's got a job and a warm place to sleep, but she's also got Guild politics, local crime bosses, culinary school, and learning to be... a Wizard? Turns out her new boss and mentor isn't just a chef!
