Strayed: from humanity [LitRPG]

Driven by an insatiable hunger for power, wealth, and greatness, many will gladly sacrifice their own lives, or worse, the lives of others, in their relentless quest for glory. Oliver, however, had no such desires, nor intention. His ambitions began and ended with keeping his little sister in school and the family laundromat afloat. If he possessed any greater desires, he had long since forgotten them. Then fate intervened; a dungeon break tore open, putting him face-to-face with a seven-foot monstrosity. The monster attempted to possess him, but a nearby hunter killed it just in time. Yet, in the final moment of its existence, the creature's instincts overrode its demise; refusing to dissolve into nothing, it forcefully poured its dying essence directly into Oliver. When Oliver woke, he was fundamentally changed. His crippled legs could finally walk, but a monster now inhabited his flesh. He was an awakened hunter, forced to fight a ravenous hunger that clawed endlessly at his sanity. In a world of gates, guilds, ranked hunters, and deadly dungeons, Oliver must navigate the dangerous path of the strong while battling a bloodlust that grows with every kill. His goal remains simple: keep his head on his shoulders long enough to protect the last piece of family he has left. Because the real dungeon isn’t out there. It’s inside him. Updates Tues and Fri.
