Sate is a bedraggled, irritable Chaos Magician as hooked on thrill-seeking as he is nicotine. Wandering the wilds beyond civilisation, he picks up something considerably more dangerous than the demons and monsters he hunts: A responsibility. Triskele is fourteen, mute, stubborn as hell, and for reasons Sate cannot begin to understand, has decided to follow him. He runs. She follows. Unfortunately for Sate, she's better at this than he is. What begins as an unwanted travelling companion slowly becomes something neither of them expected. Because beneath Sate's cigarettes, violence and spectacularly poor judgement is a man with secrets of his own—and Triskele may be the first person he's met who looks at him and sees something worth saving. Together they'll cross a strange Victorian world of Chaos Magic, demons, monsters and respectable people who are often considerably worse. Blood and Chaos is a dark Victorian fantasy about strange magic, black humour, damaged people and the family you find when you've already lost everything. “Out there in the dark, we shared a meal by firelight. I’d think about the miles of muck, the endless road and the sharp teeth waiting for us on the edge of our camp. I’d watch her and I’d think to myself, I’d think, she’s going to throw something at me.” — Satiated Y Imp.

Traffic and conversion both sit mid-field for a story this size. Growth here compounds from consistency: steady cadence feeds traffic, and a sharper hook lifts what each view is worth.
