by Percy Sinclair
The land of Kenaan is a land of warring city-states, dominated by two major powers. Most of the states swear fealty either to Mizraim, the Kheta, or to one of the larger city-states. The people of Kenaan live in fear of the return of a long-dead king, called the shepherd king. When a young slave girl is plucked from the desert and tells stories of the return of this near-mythological figure, all the people of Kenaan must choose what they will believe and how they will respond. The shift in the balance of power will draw in both the Kheta and Mizraim, while forcing Kenaan to confront its own darkness
