by Measures of the Just
Isaac is a Liuetenant of the formidable Dragoon Company, a capable mercenary company operating along the expanding frontier of the Aurelian Empire. Hired by nobles and kingdoms alike, the mercenary companies fight proxy wars, hunt monsters, protect caravans, and keep order when governments cannot. The Dragoon Company faces many changes from both outside and interior threats to their security. As revolutionaries spread along the frontier, nobles disappear, supply lines come under attack, and rival ambitions threaten to divide the company from within. Every victory brings Isaac closer to command. Isaac himself struggles with the question that has defined history across many ages: what makes someone worthy to lead? The Measure of the Just is a character-driven military fantasy featuring political intrigue, military campaigns, moral dilemmas, and character-driven drama. Inspired in part by the political fantasy of Yasumi Matsuno (Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre) this is a serial about ambition, leadership, and the cost of building something better.
