Mara Keene was supposed to document the dead. Instead, the Tutorial gave her the authority to investigate them. When Evan Rill dies after following a system-generated route, everyone calls it survival failure. Mara sees something else: a reward shown before the danger, a warning narrowed beyond recognition, and a death the system has already classified as acceptable. With no combat power, no way to resurrect the dead, and only a limited authority to preserve evidence, Mara must turn one impossible death into a case the Tutorial cannot quietly close. Every appeal can change the rules. Every changed rule creates a new way to die. And somewhere behind the Tutorial's flawless procedures, someone decided that unfair deaths were an acceptable cost of efficiency.
