Children of Dusk

Brudir Sueño is an Elite, a warrior chosen by the Ones Above to slay monsters and maintain balance on Earth. But one night two years ago, Brudir lost everything. When the police discovered him cradling his best friend’s corpse, he was arrested for a crime he didn’t commit. Having lost his best friend and being pushed away by the boy he’d grown up with, Brudir ran — and found a new home in a place called The Other Realm. But two years after the death of his best friend Lila, Brudir begins seeing visions of her in the fantastical realm he's made his new home. When the barrier is breached by an outside force, Brudir discovers the intruder is the very same boy who broke his heart: Pietro Halliwell. When Pietro reveals to Brudir that Lila was only the first in a string of ritualistic murders by a serial killer, Brudir vows to return to Earth to help solve the case - before an ancient power can threaten the balance he's meant to maintain.
