Ashes and Shadows (english)

Morvhal is choking under an ash that poisons everyone who breathes it. Only one man walks through the plague without fear: Kael, an executioner in service to a Council that despises him as much as it needs him. He carries a mark on his chest that isn't a scar — it's a living lock, and something on the other side wants out. When the Order of the Umbral, long believed exterminated, returns to reclaim what Kael has been guarding without fully knowing it, he has only one thing left he can't afford to lose: Rangar, the war dog who's the only thing still tethering him to his own humanity. Ash and Shadow is a grimdark fantasy about what it costs to stay human when the whole world has already given up on being one.
