An unprepossessing farmer is chosen as a Hero by a talking sword he finds at the bottom of his well. Leaving familiarity, solitude, and a significant portion of his sanity behind, he goes forth on adventures, making friends and nemeses along the way. There is little doubt that he will be making history, but exactly how that mark will be made remains to be seen. The historian who draws the short straw and thereby becomes the bearer of the odious task of recording his exploits will undoubtedly not be thanking him.
