In a fractured world where reality bleed nightmarish monsters into the cities, power is the only currency.  Alexander Fenris was a dying beggar destined for the gutter until a lethal monster attack forced him into a corner.  By chance and desperation, his blood touched a broken altar, intercepting a celestial contract meant for a prophesied prince.
