Voi reached enlightenment by understanding the true self through excess and ascended to godhood to enjoy eternal bliss. But that perfect eternity was shattered by a sinister ritual, one that sacrificed millions of lives to violently trap the deity's soul inside a fragile mortal body. To make matters worse, the new vessel belonged to a delicate noble girl who died of heartbreak simply because a royal prince ignored her at a tea party.
Now shackled to a human form, Voi woke up thoroughly unamused.
The world Voi left behind is completely different now. A strange system regulates and measures everyone's skills. Voi exists entirely outside of it. However, she is extremely intrigued by how creative humans have gotten with their mana utilization and with new concepts like spells. Now the God of Excess is taking this fragile new vessel on a bloody joyride to study new magic and indulge in every vice a physical body can experience, all while leaving a massive trail of blood and destruction behind her as she searches for those who bound her.
