by Terry Joel
Jackson Redwell, Wandering Librarian, travels through the Valley of the Four, sharing books with any who need them. Joined by his faithful horse, Humphry, and a wagon that has a portal to the greatest collection of knowledge in the worlds, the pair visit many places and see how a book can change people's lives for the better. Whether helping the poorest people rebuild their homes, working with the otherworldly reptilian Keepers of the Trove, or becoming entangled in international diplomacy, a librarian can always influence any situation. And as Jackson likes to say: All knowledge for all. Written with inspiration from AP's Wandering Library oracle

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 50–149 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
