Power, the only problem with having it is when you lose anyway. That's precisely the issue faced by Elmira. Already a master magician, she finds herself on the cusp of claiming the single mightiest magic ever known for herself. A dark power sealed away in secrecy, with every intention to wield it for global conquest once again. Yet at the eleventh hour, a stranger named Pierce convinces her that picking a fight with the entire world would be her downfall, but that she could avoid one if she instead proved herself to be a hero. Pierce, meanwhile, can't believe that actually worked. He's far in over his head, making everything up as he goes, lying his pants off to keep up the right hand man act, and hoping against hope that Elmira decides being heroic is kind of nice, actually. Their quest for reputation will take them from gleaming skyscrapers to ancient castles, entangle them in crises of monster and man, and cross paths with paragons both good and evil. But even when Destined heroes rising up to defeat wicked Darklords isn't just far-off legend but known, documented history, are good and evil really so straightforward?

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
