Frierem is a kind-hearted village boy searching for his place in a world filled with mysteries he cannot yet comprehend. Alerian, born into nobility, strives to step out from beneath the shadow of his accomplished parents and prove his own worth. Though separated by worlds, status, and circumstance, both embark on journeys of self-discovery.
Their paths lead them through two contrasting realms. Alerian explores a prosperous land where he willingly seeks danger in pursuit of glory, while Frierem travels through a fractured world where danger relentlessly seeks him. As they uncover humanity's forgotten history, they discover that the past is far more than legend.
Long ago, humanity committed a grave crime that ignited a devastating war and brought its race to the brink of extinction.
