A lonely world falls.
The Keshand come, lighting upon Yabesa. The cursed Enemy treads upon ancient soil. They conquer and consume, their hunger unceasing.
Now, only the mountain fortress of Kathyra remains free.
From beyond the firmament come two, blades bared and courage undimmed.
Will they fall, their blood added to the toll?
Or will they stand, making a wall of mortal and aeviternal flesh, holding fast against the coming onslaught?
(This tale is based within a world where comprehension of rules and limitations can reconcile the extraordinary and the mundane, the physical and the metaphysical joined under the dominion of Truth. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts and criticism you might have in regards to this story.)
(And no AI has been used at any point in the creation process; I'd rather refrain from writing altogether than let a clanker do my writing for me.)
